Adjusting where you receive Xfinity account alerts and communications is easy in My Account. While your comcast.net email is typically the default preferred address, you have the flexibility to change it anytime.
Adding a Personal Email Address
To incorporate a personal email address into your account, follow these steps:
- Sign in to My Account and ensure you’re on the Users tab.
- Select Edit next to the user you wish to add an email address for.
- In the Contact Information section, click Add a Personal Email Address. (If a personal address is already associated, click Remove or Edit as needed).
- Enter and confirm your email address, then click Save.
A verification link will be sent to validate your new email address. For security, the link expires in 72 hours.
Setting Your Preferred Email Address
To designate a personal email as your preferred address, follow these steps:
- Sign in to My Account.
- Select Edit next to the user whose preferred email you want to update.
- In the Contact Information section, click the Edit button in the email section.
- Click Make this preferred to select your preferred email address. A gray “Preferred” indicator will appear beside your selection.
Note: Your comcast.net email address remains the default preferred address until changed in My Account.
