6 Must-Watch Movies Of Prachi Desai

Prachi Desai is a well-known Bollywood actress who has appeared in numerous films and television shows. Her acting career began with the successful television drama ‘Kasam Se’ where she played the role of Bani Walia.  After that, she made her film debut in the Bollywood flick ‘Rock On,’ which was released in 2008. The actress’s performance in the film got her crucial parts in many different Bollywood movies like Life Partner, Bol Bachchan and the latest Forensic movie.   • Forensic

Prachi will appear in Vishal Furia’s upcoming thriller “Forensic” which also stars Radhika Apte and Vikrant Massey. ZEE5 will launch the investigative thriller film. When asked about her part, Prachi said that she’s “never quite attempted anything like this before”. Desai stated that “It’s great to see filmmakers and writers creating stories that are so different.” 

  • Rock On

The musical drama flick Rock On marked Desai’s Bollywood debut. Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, and Luke Kenny feature as members of a Mumbai-based grunge rock band in the film directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The story of Rock On centres on a band of best friends who live a carefree, unfettered lifestyle together. Farhan Akhtar plays Aditya Shroff, a lead singer who defied his well-to-do family to pursue a career in music. However, the band members parted ways due to a conflict. Sakshi played by Prachi is Aditya’s wife, she intends to bring the estranged rock band back together.

  • Life Partner

In the film, Prachi is coupled with actor Tusshar Kapoor. The story follows the lives of four characters: Karan (Fardeen Khan), Sanjana (Genelia D’Souza), Bhavesh (Tusshar Kapoor), and Prachi (Prachi). Sanjana accepts Karan’s proposal during Bhavesh and Prachi’s wedding, and the two marry the same night. The film then jumps to the present, where both couples are in court fighting for a divorce. The story rewinds six months prior when they returned to Cape Town from India and depicts the events that led to their divorces.

  • Bol Bachchan

Desai portrays the character Radhika, the sister of Prithviraj Raghuvanshi (Ajay Devgn). He is a powerful and kind man who despises liars and punishes them severely. Prithviraj is very protective of his sister and hires an effeminate Hindu dance teacher Abhishek Bachchan, who is actually a Muslim man named Abbas.

  • Once Upon a Time in Mumbai

In Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, she plays Mumtaz, the love interest of gangster Shoaib. The moment in which Emraan’s character Shoaib gives Prachi’s character Mumtaz a polka-dotted blouse and short skirt, identical to the one worn by Dimple in Bobby, became a fairly popular scene.

  • I, Me Aur Mai

Prachi, who portrays a stylish hairdresser in John Abraham’s romantic comedy I, Me, Aur Main, feels the film represents a defining moment in her career. It’s interesting to note that this is the first time she’s played her age onscreen in Bollywood. Prachi plays a significant role in the film, as the driving force behind John’s character transformation.
