Owing to their stringent parents, they both know that neither of their parents would support this marriage.

So, what do they do? They hatch a plan to get married anyway, but with their parents’ blessings. How? By pretending to be of the same religion as their partner and getting married twice! Will their plan succeed or will it have unwanted consequences? Either way, you’ll have a great time laughing at their antics.

After the immense success of the 2018 film, ‘Badhaai Ho’ came ‘Badhaai Do’ serving as a spiritual sequel to its predecessor. Badhaai Do stars Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar as a couple in a Lavender Marriage. You might not be familiar with the term but the concept is pretty simple, it’s a marriage of convenience used to conceal the socially stigmatised sexual orientation of one or both partners.

Instead of coming out to their families as gay and lesbian individuals, Shardul Thakur and Suman Singh, get married to appease their parents. It’s an absolute laughing riot when Suman aka Sumi’s girlfriend Rimjhim comes to live with the couple.

A remake of the 2010 Argentine comedy ‘Igualita a mí’, Jawaani Jaaneman serves as Alaya F’s Bollywood debut, while Saif Ali Khan adds his evergreen charm and wit to the mixture. The duo play father and daughter in the film where Saif’s character Jazz, unaware that he has a daughter, accidentally hits on her!

What’s more? Turns out, that the daughter in question, Tia, is actually pregnant! Will Jazz accept his daughter for all that she is and actually feel any emotions in the process? That’s for you to watch and find out.
